Facial yoga: the definitive exercises to help remove facial stress and wrinkles
Today, we’re telling you about FACIAL YOGA: the perfect complement to your daily beauty routine and a real revolution in face care that’s here to stay.
Essentially, facial yoga is the same technique performed with the body but applied to the face. It’s a combination of exercises and movements done in time with the breath, with the aim of releasing the stress that causes continuous facial muscle contractions in order to rejuvenate the face. Thanks to its effect, FACIAL YOGA can remove tension from facial muscles as well as tone them, and together with your daily cream, it can act as a powerful rejuvenating treatment.
As a technique, facial yoga provides many benefits and a pleasant feeling of well-being, and the more you do it, the better the results. Daily practice will help you activate and tone your facial muscles, preventing the appearance of wrinkles and softening existing ones. It also activates the lymphatic system, improving the tone and appearance of the skin; improves eye bags, dark circles, a double chin and jowls; and activates blood flow, improving the circulation and helping to restore the skin’s metabolic functions to regenerate and produce new collagen, thus achieving a smoother, oxygenated and visibly rejuvenated complexion.
It’s also surprisingly relaxing: in short, it releases facial tension, which improves your expression and the quality of your skin.
If you’re still not convinced, we invite you to give it a go – with all its benefits, you’ll totally love it.

Draining, firming and relaxing massages while focusing on your breath to also help you improve it. It’s a simple technique.
“The 57 muscles of the face and neck also need to be cared for. As these muscles are much smaller than those of the body, it takes much less time to see the results”. All you need are 15 minutes per day, your hands and the 9 key exercises described below – that will be enough to keep your face firm and plump and feeling pleasantly relaxed.
Just like when you exercise your body, it’s all about consistency and creating a daily exercise routine. Here are 9 essential exercises:
NOTE: hold each pose for 5 to 10 seconds. Do 10 to 20 repetitions of each movement.
1. Neck and upper back stretch. Cross your fingers behind your head and tilt it forward. This helps to relieve tension and correct the shoulder posture, as stiff muscles can also cause poor neck and chin placement, resulting in the appearance of jowls or a double chin.
2. Lifting type exercise. Use your palms to pull your cheeks upwards and bring your lips forward. This helps to strengthen the orbicularis, buccinator and lip elevator muscles, tightening and smoothing the skin.
3. Thumbs beneath your chin and fingers pulling your cheeks upwards. This helps to activate the pressure point beneath the center of the chin and lift the cheeks, improving the appearance of the rictus or nasolabial fold area.
4. Blow to tone. Holding your closed hand around your lips, try to blow against the force of your hand. This helps to improve muscle tone in the lower half of the face and activate the blood circulation, enhancing tissue oxygenation and nutrition.
5. Eyebrow pinches. Use your thumb and forefinger to pinch your eyebrows, pulling them outwards as you try to frown. This helps to improve the frown line area between the eyebrows, resulting in much sweeter, younger looking and more carefree eyes.
6. Bring your fists together and rest your chin on them. Then open your mouth, while resisting the opening movement with your fists, as if wanting to close your mouth. This helps to strengthen the muscles around the chin and at the front of the neck. It improves muscle tone, reduces a double chin and improves facial contour flaccidity
7. Gently place your index fingers into either side of your mouth and pull the corners outwards, while trying to bring your lips together. This helps to tighten and elasticize problem areas, such as the upper lip and its wrinkles (known as barcode lines), while helping to strengthen the orbicularis oris muscle. It significantly improves wrinkles around the lips.
8. Use the front of both hands to perform rhythmic strokes, sliding them alternately from your neckline to your chin, to stimulate the circulation. This helps to stimulate and boost the blood circulation in the double chin area.
9. Bring your fingertips together, just at the point where your chin and neck meet. Perform rhythmic strokes with your fingers, keeping them on your neck and sliding them backwards as if wanting to join both hands at your nape. This helps to stimulate and boost the blood circulation in the area, as well as significantly improving horizontal wrinkles on the neck.
Include facial yoga as a beauty habit, five times a week and you’ll be amazed by the results: it prevents and delays the appearance of wrinkles, flaccidity, and fat accumulation in areas like the jowls, as well as improving the circulation and removing toxins. All benefits for your skin!
